Looking to travel abroad this year but don’t want to spend thousands on airfare? Multiple airlines are offering bargain flights to Italy, starting at $433 round-trip.

With these deals, you can visit some of Italy’s most popular tourist destinations, such as Milan, Venice, Rome and Bologna.

This set of deals allows you to visit Italy during its off-peak tourist season: There is availability from October to December, along with the first couple months of 2024.

These fares are only set to last for a few days, so book flights quickly.

Deal basics

Airlines: Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, ITA Airways, KLM and TAP Air Portugal.
Routes: From Boston, Chicago, Miami, Newark, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
How to book: Use Google Flights to find your best dates and then book directly with the airline of your choice.
Travel dates:  Generally from October to December 2023 and January to February 2024.
Book by: The next two to three days.

With these deals, there’s a decent amount of availability from major East Coast cities, along with San Francisco and Chicago.

• TAP: San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), starting at $433 (includes a layover in Lisbon, Portugal).
• TAP: Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to MXP, starting at $434 (includes a layover in Lisbon).
• TAP: O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ), starting at $461 (includes a layover in Lisbon).
• TAP: Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), starting at $503 (includes a layover in Lisbon).
• American and Delta: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to MXP, starting at $558.

We recommend searching through Google Flights to find your ideal dates and then booking your flights directly on the airline’s website. Direct airline bookings tend to be more reliable if your flight is delayed, canceled or has a booking change.

If you want to fly to Milan from JFK, Google Flights offers many options priced at $558.

For returning flights, Delta offers two that keep the fare relatively low.

However, remember that the low fares featured here are for basic economy only. Delta’s basic economy can be quite restrictive, especially for those long international flights. For example, passengers flying with Delta’s basic economy can’t select a seat or change their ticket without paying a fee. Passengers are allowed one free carry-on and must pay extra for checked baggage.

These fares to Italy are great if you’re still looking to book a trip to Europe but don’t want to shell out thousands of dollars from your wallet on airfare. Even though these deals are not available during the peak times to visit Italy, they do give you a chance to see the country without huge crowds of tourists.
